JACK
LeTOURNEAU
1998-2002 ASSISTANT EXPEDITION LEADER
Jack’s previous research on Rock Lake allowed the RLRS Team to move
research forward at a rapid pace with Aerial Photos shot by Jack the
year before (see Gallery). Jack has been in
charge of processing the digital sonar computer information from the
July 1998 effort and works closely with the RLRS research group. Jack
is also the VideoRay Remote Operated Video pilot for the 2001
expeditions.

JAMES SCHERZ
PROFESSOR of CIVIL ENGINEERING
UW –WISCONSIN
Dr. Scherz has been researching Rock Lake since the early eighties and
has made a great contribution to the Rock Lake Research Society’s
understanding of the structures in and around Rock Lake. Jim is the
Chief Researcher for the Rock Lake Research Society. Dr. Scherz's
expertise in the pre-Columbian history of Wisconsin and Michigan’s
copper culture is preeminent and brings a greater understanding of the
cultures that built the various structures in Rock Lake.
Dr. Scherz is completing his work on the Rock Lake/Aztalan complex in
the near future. Jim is also our liaison with Native American groups
in Wisconsin.
LLOYD
HORNSBOSTEL
GLACIAL GEOLOGIST
Lloyd is the chief geologist for the organization and has logged more
underwater research time on the Rock Lake structures than any other
team member. Lloyd has worked closely with Dr. Scherz to unravel Rock
Lake’s mysteries and has been researching the lake for over 25
years. Lloyd's underwater geological observations have opened the
window as to why the structure are now underwater and proves they are
manmade.
JOHN
KENNEDY
MASTER DIVER
John was the diver that re-discovered one of the Pyramids in 1967
starting the new wave of research at Rock Lake. John has served as an
advisor to the Rock Lake Research Society.
MATTHEW
OLSON
HISTORICAL RESEARCHER
Matthew has been working on finding clues as to the possible
pre-historical origins of the underwater structures in Rock Lake. He
is also part of the general research team delving into the mysteries
surrounding the earthen pyramids at Aztalan State Park and Rock Lake.
KEITH
PAMPER
CHIEF DIVER AND UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY SPECIALIST
Underwater Photography Specialist
Keith is the senior diver at the world renowned Shedd Aquarium in
Chicago. Keith’s Underwater Video from Rock Lake is featured in
A&E's (Arts & Entertainment Channel) "The
Unexplained" Series on pyramids.
COLLEEN
DUKE
DIVER AND SPECIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR
Colleen is part of the RLRS dive team as well as its special events
coordinator. Colleen is the Manager of Special Events and Volunteer
Services at the Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum in Chicago.
Colleen will also be the coordinator of research
personnel in determining the potential Archeo-Astronomical relations
of the Rock Lake structures and those at Aztalan.

RYAN
LOGISTICS COORDINATOR
Matt has been involved in all aspects of Rock Lake’s research
activities especially in the expedition’s vessel preparations and
operation. Matt has also provides assistance in digital imaging of
computer generated sonar information from Rock Lake.

WAGNER
RESEARCH DIVER
Steve has been active as a principal research diver with Rock Lake
Research Society since 1999. His specialty is dark cold water diving
like the deeper depths of Rock Lake.

RESEARCH DIVER
Craig has been active as a principal research diver with Rock Lake
Research Society since 1999. His specialty is dark cold water diving
like the deeper depths of Rock Lake.
Steve
Jones
Research Diver Steve
Jones has been a research diver with the Rock Lake Research Society
since 1999. Steve is a Lake Mills resident and has been diving Rock
Lake for years and also on occasion with Lloyd Hornbostel. Steve has d
made numerous contributions with his efforts at Rock Lake.
LEN
BUSCH
PILOT Len
is the most recent Pilot to join the Rock Lake Research Society. Len
piloted his 4-passenger helicopter for the organization's first aerial
surveys work in April 2002. Len is both a fixed and rotary wing pilot
with over a thousand hours of flying time logged.
TOM BUCINA
WEB ARCHITECT AND BUILDER
Tom has been designing, developing, maintaining, and hosting web sites since1996 and
taught classes on web authoring,
developing and the Internet at Wright College in Chicago.
